"Funny you mention this, since these are 2 of the 3 parts that keep my PX-10 from being completely original. I could use a pair of skewers with intact caps, a functioning Ad-Hoc, and a Simplex 14-24 5sp freewheel. The skewers have been painful, since they show up on eBay, but end up going for quite a bit.

Well patience and a big purse are a plus. It took me ONE YEAR of eBay he ll to finally get that front wingnut. One year. But riding it and looking at that fragile little piece of Delrin gives me true inner satisfaction. Ev en if the worn-out Japanese made French-thread freewheel and make-do Ventolux
pump do not. One step at a time. I also finally gave up last week on t he Brooks small rivet Pro I put on this machine according to 1969-70 specs. It was one of those Brooks (we know the ones) that just won't "give", not a bit. A real butt-buster. So, I put back on the every so comfy, broken in Ideale 90 that came with the '72 PX-10 that contributed the components to my '69 frame.
Being a purist with a profoundly proliterian PX-10... you just gotta love 'em!
