I stand corrected on this matter. Some of the raw materials were of comparable quality. I suppose I was being muddy in my argument, becasue in some cases I was pointing out where the PX-10 was inferior in craftsmanship and in others cases where it was simply not the "same other than finish," as Jerry asserted.

If by finish you include the mitering, lug prep, brazing, cleanup, paint, decals, geometry, frame component quailty, and design details, I can't say that I disagree. I think Jerry has done us all a service by distilling his understanding of vintage racing bikes as he has. We can now weigh his opinions in the context of this understanding when determining their merit.

Geometry? Decals? Frame component "quality"? What's wrong with a PX-10's geometry, decals or metric 531, Simplex DOs and Nervex Pro lugs? Seriously.
