Subject: [CR]FS: frameset...save me from another project..

I am tossing this up once more to CR listmemers. It will probably appear on I-bob as well. If it doesn't sell, I will tear down the Dawes and swap the freakish parts onto this frameset to make it a nice runnable fixed fun bike. The Dawes with its new paint job will go to being a dedicated road fixie with lovely parts....

Early 1950s 23 inch English Rudge frameset. Fork has chrome topped crown. It was the Pathfinder Phase III. made for use with 650 wheels. it of course can accomadate others. right sided downtube braze on for rear shifter. oil port on the BB top. semi-horizontal dropouts. Top under tube frame fittings. partial headset included. partial BB included. Lovely Rudge headbadge included. Decals are partially intact with some wear and tear on the decals.

It isn't pristine and contains some paint missing in areas. Original paint is maroon with white headtube. nicely lugged and using Reynolds 531 tubing...if left as is...and you get it gritty and wet, the frameset will no doubt age to a lovely oxidized finish. (ok, I stole this from a catalog where I laughed hysterically at an ad for a steel firering where it described it as...left to the weather it will oxidize to a lovely finish...AKA...rust). This frameset has no rust, just the wear and showing some lovely patina.
