I don't remember how he looked on a bike, but no list of dominant riders would be complete without adding Sean Kelly's name. Race after race, no matter what the conditions, he won over and over again. "The greatest rider never to have won the TDF" was one description I read of him.

Makes you remember a time when riders could win early, mid, and late season, instead of specializing in just one race. Maybe I haven't been following the Spring Classics closely enough in recent years, but Lance seems like such a quintiscential of a modern rider focusing on one and only one effort. I guess I just assume this trend is cutting across all aspects of the sport.

Sorry if this is a bit OT, but if Sean Kelly is not a cycling classic, what/who is?

Yours,
