I have a Brooks Professional Select that I'd like to trade for a new or almost new Brooks Team Professional (Black or Brown). Couldn't get used to the shape, and although the saddle looks great on the c.71 Raleigh Pro it's on, I am going to switch to a Brooks Professional or Team Professional. I'm hoping the vintage Select saddle has enough period value to trade for a newish Team Pro, but if I'm over-valuing the Pro Select that that's my bad luck and I'll have to wait. Also willing to sell it but I'd need enough $ for the Team Professional and I think there's a better chance in a trade.

Pro Select: Black with large copper rivets, three holes in the top, black rails, and oblong shield label on each side that says "Professional," "Brooks," and "Select," on three separate lines top to bottom. Rivited small black label in back with no sign of the white lettering that used to say "Brooks."

The saddle has miles on it but has not been abuse. It's broken in, but tight and firm. There are small scratches on the sides edges from leaning, etc. The tension bolt in the nose has never been touched. On one side the logo shield is somewhat faint but the other side is very clear.

I bought it NOS from Mike Gleason's Tumbleweeds Bike shop, Chapel Hill, NC., in 1985. I stored it for years waiting for the right bike. I had it on a Gitane for a while and recently on the Raleigh Pro which has been a wall hanger for a while now. Now I'm building up another frame and need a saddle I can ride comfortably.
