Many thanks for Mr. Bridge bringing our attention to the Hetchin's on ebay. Just a few quickies the original price back in the 50's was considerably higher than today's prices. If you use the higher end price tables you would come up with a today's price of about £800. These tables are not that accurate or reliable an equivalent price would be well over a £1000 for one of their lower end frames. Also this frame would have been old hat in my opinion when it was made. */The more forward looking manufactures where fitting Continental type headsets as opposed to headclip ones in the late 1930's. This type of headset could be explained to a customer requesting this style but the present owner obviously knows that this was specifically made for retail through Baines the Northern Lightweight shop. The "Gen" boys or girls of the day would have found this very old fashioned./* Finally I hate it when people fit South of France bars in this fashion (sloping skywards) looks like a kid on a newspaper round. Still a great machine but put the handlebars right, slope them down a bit. It's the little attention to detail which makes a bike!
