hi all, while i applaud the impulse behind 'tinyurl-ing' links, i've noticed something a bit troubling about it; tinyurl links seem to redirect through adfarm.mediaplex.com sites, which then sets a tracking cookie before forwarding you on to ebay.

(this is not, in any way, a criticism of jay, his tinyurl link just reminded me that i'd been meaning to write this email).

it's not a big deal, and plenty of sites set tracking cookies, but 3rd-party cookies are a little suspicious to me, and i don't like being tracked, and i'd guess that plenty of list-members don't like it either.

just thought i'd let you all know.
