Don Wilson's search for information on Favorit prompted a Google search and a contact with a guy who rides a Favorit in the Czech Republic. My theory that Favorit was part of Skoda was wrong. Another small brick in the wall of our knowledge..

No. It was a independent company Favorit Rokycany ltd., which bankruptcy about 1992.
The mark Favorit and buildings of the former factory was later (2001?) bought by one man, but he only started import frames etc from China etc and in Czech Rep. he only assemble whole bicycles. I thing his company bankruptcy too.
