Marc,

Sounds like a real cool trike. Maybe sometime we'll have to get all the vintage guys with trikes together and have some serious trike races. Someday, I think I will have to build a trick trike for myself. The Jackson is fun, but something exotic would be cool to build.

Seems in recent years, there have been several people on the list who have dipped their toe into the trike thing. How many trikes amongst listmembers now?

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA As if I don't have enough stuff to keep me busy.

Well, I received my Selbach trike and have unboxed it and immediately removed the forks from the frame. When the seller said "barn find" he really meant it. It has years and years of grime, surface rust and I don't what else.

One thing I noticed right away is that the frame does not have the Timken bearing in the headset as shown on the Selbach CR page. Also, since I've never seen a Taper Tube, I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Do the tubes taper externally or internally? The chainstays [which are alltogether different than the Selbach Trike on the Selbach CR page], appear to taper from the bottom bracket back to the knurled ends which accept the Abingdon rear axle.

This leads me to a request. I'm looking for all things Selbach...two wheels or three, but mainly pictures and possibly a source for decals. I don't believe Nick has these as they are not advertised on his page. If anyone has pictures of their Selbach which they wouldn't mind sharing, I would greatly appreciate it.
