Regarding my dad's 70's Viscount up for sale, I got a quick look at it last night. If someone is looking for a collectable and ridable one, this would be a great candidate.
It looks like the top of the line Aerospace model, and it looks about 55c (guessing, need to measure). It has all the original parts, including the notorious death fork, crank/rings, brake pads, chain, cables, 'V' logo bolts and parts, tires, etc. It's in great shape throughout, including the BB, paint, saddle, etc., and does not appear to have any rust or significant wear. It is white with the red panels with gold trim, and the matching logo/crest decals. I recall seeing the original factory brocure around on it too (the one with the Lear Jet in the background) - I'll have to find that.
The brochure would have come with the bike, so that would put it approximately mid-70's. If anyone can offer help on dating it exactly, that would be nice.
I should have some time in the next couple of days to clean it, inspect it, take some pictures, and take it for a test ride.
Get back to me off-list if interested.
