Subject: [CR]Looking For A Bike That I Will Like A Little But Not Too Much

Hello Compadres Mios:

Got a weird situation here which might even possibly make an interesting thread.

I have a friend who is building a house in Maine and who has invited me to visit from time to time. I would love to, since Maine is heaven (this is actually techinically true) but I would hate to always have to ship my bike up there (this is Hell, also technically true.)

My thought was to buy a bicycle that I like kind of, but not so much that I would be tempted to haul it down every time, back to my homeland of North Carolina.

My candidates (off topic) would be bikes like Klein Quantums, old Specialized M2s, Lemond Versailles or even those great Dave Scott Centurion Ironmans (with the cool easter egg purple and yellow paint jobs.)

Anyone want to contribute to the (era correct) list of 'bikes I like but not too much, that I could leave at a vacation home and not cry'?

I would even put Peugeot PX 10s in the list for me, but I know some people aren't me.

Love to hear everyone's opinions of their passionate likes!
