All rides are doable with a fixed gear, no problem. And the pace is
conversational, with a no drop policy in force at all times.

All rides and events are within blocks of the Old Pasadena Courtyard
by Marriott hotel. For Thursday's ride at the beach expect to carpool.
It's 22 miles from the hotel to the beach and I've done the ride many
times myself over the last 30 years but you'll need lights for riding
back after dinner at the Marina.

Velo Pasadena is one of the premier shops in SoCal and has a wonderful
collection of vintage race bikes hanging from the ceiling throughout
the shop. They are open till 3:00pm on Sunday.

A lot of the attendees stay at the Courtyard but it has nothing in common
with the pajama party that is the Battleground Inn in Greensboro.
Different
vibe. But Old Pasadena is the current hot spot in SoCal and is one block
away from the Courtyard with over 70 restaurants (and a couple of delightful
micro breweries) in an eight block area.
