Actually, I usually find the opposite to be true. It seems to me you get more money by selling parts separately than in a large lot. That's why you see a lot of bikes parted out and the frame and each major component sold separately on eBay. But it clearly is a lot less burdensome and time-consumnig to sell stuff in one large lot.

What I wanted to do was to weed out the people who want to get just a few
choice items. I know there is enough stuff for two complete bikes because I
had two complete bikes built at one time. I think that adds value which
would be lost by piecing it out. Besides, I'm lazy, and selling it all to
one person would be easiest.
