If I were you, I'd go find a top-o-the-line Miyata race bike. They sure were nice. You can find them regularly on eBay.

I would "ditto" that advice and add that there was a Univega made by Miyata that was identical except for the name. The one(s) I'm refering to had diamond cutout window lugs and a short fluted seat stay cap, don't know the model name/numbers. The only thing against those was that some had a square nut brazed on top of the downtube for the "aero" shifter pod...unless you are fitting that shifter it's an eyesore.
You might also consider a high-end Panasonic, Fuji, Sekai 4000/5000, or one of the Japanese-made Lotus (Lotai?). which can usually be had for less than a Zunow or 3Rensho will run...(though I truely love my 3Rensho). I've owned some Nishikis and I like the Superbe model (made by Kawamura, I think) but in most cases the workmanship/finish is higher on the aforementioned, IMHO.
