>From another point of view, seeing the stems and bars in Jan's book has really opened me up to a different perspective of how bars and stems are SUPPOSED to look. My eye was so used to the proportions of Cinelli stems that I couldn't adjust to other proportions. They all seemed clunky and mountain-bike sized . Somehow seeing these gorgeous well- thought- out custom stems in Jan's book re-educated my eye. I now see balance in the thicker stems. Exciting stuff. Alan Bernstein, end=of=summer Ct.
