You should have a standard tecalemit grease nipple there (as sold), screwed into the hub shell thro' a small shaped aluminium alloy washer (flat on one side, concave on the other). The washer was essential in stopping the original nipple touching the spindle. The hub shell is thin at this point and generally only had a maybe three threads. My guess it would be possible to adapt a larger size grease nipple.

I recently acquired a Harden Large Flange front 32H hub that has a round hole where the grease fitting would be expected. The hole is circa 1/8 inch in diameter and is not threaded. Where they sold that way or was (as I suspect) the fitting removed. Any suggestions as to where I might find an appropriate fitting to make the hub whole?
