For those who are interested in learning more about the physiology, aerodynamics, and effects of varying wheel construction, may I recommend David Gordon Wilson's revised Bicycling Science, 3rd edition? It is pretty well grounded, if a bit of hard work (for me) to understand in places. Paperback is out now. Most of the heavy lifting was done by my buddy Jim Papadopoulos, but that is another story.
