Before you go too far down the Ideale path, make sure you read the interview with Ernest Csuka in vol. 1 no. 1 of Vintage Bicycle Quarterly - specifically his comments on what sponsored riders really rode on. Suffice it to say that a lot of Ideale-sponsored riders were on Brooks saddles, mainly because they fit better.
