Just so folk can see that powder doesn't have to be at thick as that I've posted a couple pics. I'm sorry that the pictures kinda suck but my camera doesn't do micro very well. This was the first traditional lugged frame I ever painted back in '99. The bike is my wife's 70s era Trek. The paint process is multi-layered with a base layer of a metal-flake black under a translucent blue, also the rear-end has a another very light layer of translucent red which can only be seen in bright sunlight. Here's the upper headlug where you can clearly see the number 72 (the headtube angle) stamped in the lug. A lot of folks complain that powder-coating isn't "classic" but unless you're repainting with stove baked enamels you're not being "classic" either. best, Brandon"monkeyman"Ives Vancouver, B.C.
