These [Louison Bobet] badges resemble very closely the Mercier self-dhesive design, a thought that makes me wonder if perhaps at some time Mercier's Service de Course workshop ever built top-class frames bearing other "maker's" transfers? ++++++++++++++++
>From when I got started (1962) I always thought that Louison Bobet was a private label Mercier from Gene Portuesi's CycloPedia. Never knew they were available anywhere else. And don't remember why we "all" thought that, except that the style of finish was very similar, as were the model-to-model specifications.
