Well, there must be some kind of moral to this tale, but both Bryant Bambridge and Greg Parker have quit the CR list.
It's a shame from my point of view because both guys had a lot to offer.
The problem, in my humble opinion, is that folks take stuff too seriously and react and write e-mails that are too aggressive. Certainly there are ways to disagree with points without hurting the other guy?
Most of us are more-than-mature folks yet this simple task of gentle communication seems to elude us. Occassionally I get incensed by something I read here on the CR list and dash off an e-mail response, but I have adapted the practice of not sending that mail immediately but instead, saving it for 5-15 minutes later. I review it again and inevitably end up sending a completely different e-mail!
So, let's strive for civilty and being considerate of the other person even if at that moment they may not appear to deserve it!
