Many moons ago...like in the early '80's...I worked in a small shop in Nevada that did regular frame repaints. We had a stash of "fake" decals that we could put on decent quality frames if we couldn't get the original transfers . I don't know where the owner came up with them--he freely admitted they were not real cycle companies, but we had English-sounding "brands" as well as a French or two and a couple of Italianish (which included the fake Rapallo). Rapallo was the one that I thought looked the best--seems like the typeset was very roundish and in all lower-case letters. Does this sound right? I still have a set of those decals deep in the junk drawer; don't know if I'll ever use them or not.

I strongly suspect this is what you've found...

I'll try and dig the set I have out and see what I can discover this evening.

I have just purchased a Rapallo, not complete. Bought it mostly for the Stronglight crank and the wheels. Lugged steel frame with chrome forks and stays. Anyone know the marque? Nothing in archives and nothing comes up relevant in Google.

Thanks
