Indeed - I spotted a nice little spattering of Vintage Steel on my first ever 200km ride ! ( I was a bit hesitant about the distance goin in, but now am just bragging to everyone, usually saying some BS like "hey, it was no big deal" !)

I love having mini challenges, and ,at this decade of life, put the event horizon JUST barely over the edge, to make it interesting !! I will say though, that even as a 17 yr'older doing 'touring' (which we sure didnt call it that then), I can't remember ever QUITE doin such a long day.

Pics below show a couple of the steel bikes. Check out that HUGE paramount - really nice fellow from Lancaster rode that baby. And I apologize for those NASA looking water bottle holders protruding from the seat on my 81 Miyata 1000 - couldnt help myself (and they did work fantastically)

Ride ON to that challenge, Paulie !
