Hmm, could this be Cycles & Sports? That was the Raleigh dealer in DC for ages. Mrs. Gregory was the Headmistress there and could browbeat, with a smile, the Supreme Court justices and Senators who came in all the time. They closed in the late 1980s when Mrs. Gregory finally retired. But this was not a CR List type shop at least as I remember it selling the regular Raleigh range but probably more three-speeds and Super Courses than Team Pros etc. There was another shop, I vaguely recall in the same block that may be the one you were thinking of. Both of them were about two blocks south of Western Ave. and DC/Maryland Line.
