i tried my hand at putting a new tube in an old tire. i cut the new tube, taped the end shut, and then used brake housing as a "snake" to guide the new tube through the tire. worked wonderfully.
now the question becomes, how do i "put the tube back together?" i seem to remember an old messenger pal saying that you could basically burn a split tube back together with a lighter somehow. would that work here? i tried a few basic patching ideas, but none of them held air.
