Subject: [CR]Pump Mounting Question

Hi All:

The bike is a 1979 Jack Taylor Tourist, SN 7345. It has a pump peg brazed on behind the seat tube up near the seat cluster. The problem I am having is that all of the vintage pumps I have tried to fit in that location are so thin that they just slide between the chain stays. The only way I have been able to make it work is if I mount the pumps with the handles downward - not a great solution as the handle will collect rain water. Does anyone know what the correct pump mounting arrangement for this bike would have been? Thanks!
