i believe that production continued after his accident, under a mr. makino.

also, when i said 'higher-end', i meant within the 3rensho line, not relative to other brands.

One would be hard pressed to find a 3Rensho from a period other than the "Yoshi Konno era". I believe that he started the marquee, and it ended when a serious injury prevented him from continueing. I also don't think he was much interested in producing lower end models. Mr. Konno was a bike aesthete.
