Hi all, I know we are supposed to remain civil here, but I have to weigh in: USING GASOLINE TO CLEAN PARTS IS REALLY, REALLY STUPID! The dangers are too numerous to list, but on top of the list is the possibility of a gasoline/air mixture finding an ignition source. This can be a spectacular disaster, which I know from the personal experience of a friend who is on this list but will remain anonymous unless he wants to tell the story.
