Why all the fuss about the Paramount??? at least the guy is a TRUE collector, he knows and appreciates the finer things in life, PLUS he does NOT own a Hetchins. Now to the good part not only did he buy the Paramount he ALSO got my 1960 Claud, for my asking price PLUS a load of Campag etc goodies, I even threw in a few things he did not payfor. BECAUSE he is a COLLECTOR, NOT to mention he also has a vintage Porsche,(like me) and with a name like JOHN he cant be all bad. I hope he enjoys all the finer things in life, Good luck to him. NOW to a tip that I got from a friend I ride with who has a new Colnago, COST twice what the Paramount did, he admired the finish on my 1950 Merican, I told him I was concerned about chips and scratches etc, he said "why dont you do what I did!!" he got it coated with the 3m film that is used on cars, clear bra!!! it cost him $100 you cant tell by any seams etc, should last a life time, I am going to look into this next week,ONLY the lugs may be a problem I know all you purists will groan, but if it works so what.
