while your suggestion sounds like a good idea, it is not exactly permitted.....

You are allowed to retract a bid (before final 12 hours) only if:

1. you made an error in amount you bid. 2. someone else made a bid illegally in your name. 3. you cannot contact seller.

Hmmm, I will try to contact seller and query him/her/it as to why it is relisted since it was sold to a reputable Ebayer...

Then, if I get no response (as I suspect) I will be within my rights to legally retract....
