Some things gotta go. First is the Masi. Pics taken by Ken Toda at Cirque 2004 here: http://www.wooljersey.com/gallery/Masi75ItalGCV54 Be sure to click twice to see the HUGE images, so that I don't have to take a bunch of little photos.

Rare original features: Split fork crown, Masi "M" big chain ring (also stamped 53 since they removed the inner reinforcing ring), milled shift levers, Alberto Masi TTT Record stem, Masi engraved TTT handlebars, and Masi milled Record two-bolt seat post.

Note that the bike has been upgraded by the Vasco Poccianti shop, Sesto Firenze, Italy, probably in the early 1980s. Der. cable guides were moved to below the b.b., rear drops were changed to short Campagnolo, front der. tab was added, as perhaps were the top tube cable guides (not sure since that was a custom Masi option at the time, I think). Finally, note that the refinishing of the frame included chroming of the forks and rear triangle.

Since the bike was "suped" up, I decided to build it with some period correct Super Record components, like the 1976 rear der., and (not seen in the photos) first gen. Super Record brake levers. I also used a Super Record aluminum headset, and Regina Record chain (drilled outer plates). The front. der. is a hybrid of flat faced cage on the necessary braze-on body. The handlebars still have not been fully rewraped since I put the better brake levers on. Everything else is proper Campy Nuovo Record.

The wheels are excellent condition Campy small flange 1974 hubs, built onto what were NOS Martano tubular rims. The bike and newly built wheels have seen perhaps 10 rides since I put it together, totaling no more than 2-300 miles. There has been no change in the bike's condition since the photos were taken. Pedals and Guerciotti tires however, are NOT included ... sorry. Clement Futurox tires with same mileage ARE included.

I'm sad to let this go, but I must. Price is $2750 please, plus shipping. Sold separately, these parts would bring in a small fortune (which is almost what I need), but I can't face breaking up the original core set, or the work and special parts that I put into it. I hope then, that my price is not out of line, and is in someone's budget.

Thanks...
