After my previous posting. I was reading (NOT RIDING!) cold and sunny today with snow on way, the 1939 Claud Butler Cat, that I refered to has in the back, Frames complete with Forks,Chainwheel and Cranks, Seat Post and all interiors??? etc Guaranteed Weight from 8 1/4lbs!!! WITH THE NOTE, Lighter gauge tubing and components built up. but supplied at customers OWN RISK!!!!! So you want it lighter, good luck if the things comes apart whilst riding it!!!! I do remeber in the 70s riding with a chap on a Vitus Alloy, for thoes days lightweight, nice looking bike (EYE CANDY) his head tube came apart, the glue had gone bad, had a long walk home that day, Happy Riding, Cheers John Crump.
