Temple Cycles is trying something along those lines, business plan limit of 300 bikes a year, median price 10-12k, brand managed luxury bicycle experience. Articles talk of 40k$ Temples, with custom covered saddles and bar tape dyed to match, etc.

read the opening position statement. Now if these guys were in front and BG was in back designing and building bikes. Could you see a market for 20k$ bikes ?
