Ack, and after I took off the training wheels, all I ever wanted was a brand new bicycle. A few years later, my Dad bought me one, when I was 10 years old. A "Royce-Union" three-speed we got at Orchard Supply Hardware, that would have been in 1965. I loved it and rode it every every everywhere. Today, I am not sure I'd EVER want a riv (my Specialized Sequoia is fine for touring t.y.), I'd be pissed if you called ME a "boomer", and I have deleted more digest messages in the last week with no interesting subjects (to me) in them in I don't know HOW long. Oh well.
