Subject: [CR]When does the ownership of a bicycle change hands when abandoned

I have a short tale somewhat related. I was in the storied back room at Matt Assenmacher's and there was a whole wall of hanging bikes...many wonderful, but all damaged when looked at more closely. I asked Matt about them and he told me that when someone sends him a frame and it is just too damaged to make repair worthwhile, they never ask for it back, so he just hangs them there. There were a couple of real heartbreakers there...including a wonderful Cinelli that an angry soon-to-be ex-spouse had taken a hammer to...on each bit of tubing on the bike...Gruesome!
