Well I seem to have stimulated some disssent of the old clip or not theory. I wish to clarify, that I DO indeed use the darn things, (BUT). WHEN??? or if my new Mercian Vincitore frame arrives, I WILL equip it with full Campag 27 sp. and Campag CLIPLESS pedals, Why push your luck, right!!! NOW I do agree that clipless have problems, Lance should have fired his Mechanic and supplier, I ALLWAYS have prefered Campag over the other guys, but that a different story, Now I have been using Detto shoes with Pavrin cleats, they are PLASTIC, have two bolt fixing and CAN be adjusted, ALSO I have found that if I take a hacksaw and widen the slot a little, this gives me a little movement, I DO NOT tighten the straps, unless a bunch of Lance wanabees come along, then grit the teeth and TIGHTEN the straps and pray a lot. After my hitting the horse last June, my nerves are not what they should be, nor my legs, the shoulder is still is sore, BUT on we go, as for the CR member who has a sore neck. I have this problem also, BUT a divorce after 43yrs is too hard to manage, besides she is a good cook!!! Cheers, John Crump OldgrittheteethBrit, Parker Co.USA
