As I pointed out, the DHL rate of £48 was because the seller used his _business_ account. He only charged me what he paid. That shipment was in October of last year.

The rate of £60.02 was through Fast Lane International. Again that was exactly what the seller paid. I have a copy of the invoice dated 27 February, 2006. That included insurance up to £250.

Royal Mail/Parcelforce is quite a bit more expensive, I agree. But other options do exist and buyers should work with sellers to obtain the lowest rates. It seems to me that sellers willing to do this are creating good will and helping to ensure repeat business.

Of course, if a seller wishes to use p&p as a separate profit center...
