BTW, when my friend went out for a ride with his then-neighbor, it was quite a site I suppose as his neighbor was even taller-- Bill Walton.

In the 70's prior to turning pro as a basketball player, Bill Walton rode Falcons, had a road and track bike. Norman Hill got him the bikes. Gil Hatton Sr. made the seat posts. He rode with us an we were advised if he got stung by a bee, the "save me" syringe was with the spare tire. I guess with an allergic reaction to those each time one gets stung, its less time the next.

Adidas made him some custom cycling shoes, Art Stump made the toe clips and an added plate for the quill to support the sole.

When 180mm cranks are not enough.
