I think the Voyageur models and the Volare were it for Schwinn although Bob Hufford will know for sure. Probably made by Matsushita/Panasonic/National although something tells me one other Japanes maker built for Schwinn.

I have a Raleigh Comp GS built in Japan with 531 DB tubing. That's the only other one I know of with 531 although I presume customs were built.

What does a bike collector do when you need to buy a stationary excercise bike? I came upon a very nice Tsunoda for $10. Cotterless steel Sugino cranks and put together by a good shop. Tsunoda was sold as Lotus in the US.

\r?\n> I frankly never heard of these before. Sounds like a very

\r?\n> similar story to the World Voyageur, except that one was Japanese

\r?\n> tubing. Anyone know who actually built these bikes? Were there

\r?\n> other high-end Schwinns built in Japan In the Day? The Volare is

\r?\n> a bit unusual simply in that there can't have been that many 531

\r?\n> frames built in Japan.
