I knew Pete Dreesen when we all worked for Campy as "Contract Mechanics" during the late 70's and early to mid 80's. He was a hot wrench then and probably still is.

Here is the old listing I had for Peter Dreesens. If someone has the new address, pls send to me so I can update. I thought I had purchased a purple road bike from him about two years ago, but the seller inexpicably pulled the plug on the deal at the last moment. Perhaps a listmember got it. DREESENS, Peter: Tailwinds Bicycle Shop, 160 Main Street, Schwenksville, PA 19473, 610-287-7870. Known for track frames; road frames use Henry James lugs, silver brazed, and mostly Tange Prestige and Reynolds 725 tubing.

Pete Dreesen

He is now working at the CycleDrome bicycle shop in T-Town. He has also been showing up for a few of the group rides lately, which is good considering he was extinct for about 6 yrs. He was also my Bicycle Racing League Developmental coach when I first started cycling.

Marty

Hey Swingers,

Peter Bundy, son of a local retired framebuilder Jim, spent a season or two a Lehigh Valley Velodrome, PA coaching or something or other a few years back (perhaps early 90's). In a recent conversation he told me about a colourful and quirky character by the name of Pete Dreissen (or Dreesen) and asked me if I could find out where he is, what's he doing and if anybody has contact info. Or stories or anything.

Anyone?

Thanks

ciao,
