Dear Responders, Please accept my humble apologies I had no idea that there was such expertise on the list that just by looking at an old video or picture in a book that you can tell that it was bog standard factory produced PX10, wonderful oh and you can do this by the colour as well. Perhaps one of the very knowlegable experts can possibly tell by just looking at a video, magazine picture of say a Claud Butler Avant Coureur frame whose hand built it. After all this is a bog standard factory Claud Butler Avant Coureur. If you can do this with Peugeots PX10's on very little evidence you will certainly know if the AC was built by the hand of Dean, Philbrook, Stratton, Grey, Ephgrave, Purvis, Jones etc. Poppycock and yes Doug I am too suffering from masiphobia with or without the obligatory death or suicide parts. I saw Toms Peugeot close up and it had more of the hand of Masi about it than factory Peugeot. No I will stick with what was said in the 60's they were just painted up in team colours to look like the factory produced item. Yours fraternaly Frank. PS. There is a way of telling who built a particular Butler frame but the only trouble is you have to remove the paint first.
