I thought that both rode frames made by Masi, dressed up like Peugeots. Masi was making frames with the Peugeot-style Nervex lugs at that time, so pictures could be very deceiving, seems to me. You could take a Masi of that time, paint it and dress it like a Peugeot, and it might be rather hard to tell the difference in even a clear photo. I'd be curious to know what details one would look for to try to figure out which was which. Assuming both had Nervex lugs. The Masis with the cinelli-style lugs are easy to spot, that's not my question.

I think Masi was drifting away from Nervex Pro lugs by 1965, but he may have used them on 66-67 to "disguise" the frame. If the photos are shot from a low front angle, look at the bottom bracket... the Masi/Peugeot might have a three-slot cutout. It came in around '67 so the later bikes might have them. If you can see the bike from the back, look at the dropouts. The Masi will have Campy dropouts with adjuster screws, the Peugeot should have Simplex with bolt-on axle stops and fender eyelets.
