I have for sale a frame which is supposed to be ex Tour of Britain. The frame is reputed to be a 1951 W.F. Holdsworth Massed Start Tornado. 22.5" Extremely rare Clement ends with gear hanger, braze-ons consist of pump pegs on seat tube offset to left as then race practice, Simplex roller on BB for rear mech cable and braze on Simplex lever boss on DT. This would have been originally fitted with to use the American list terms a Simplex suicide front changer Urrgh! You can bone up on this model on the excellent NK Holdsworth site it wil answer all your questions. This frame is not for the faint hearted it's a RESTORATION PROJECT but its ultra rare and a wonderful piece of history. EXPECT to pay another £125.00+ to have this refinished, just think about it. Great headbadge. Please no silly enquiries with endless photographs being sent to and fro only to be told by several muppetts at the end I am not into restoring 1949 frames this is 1951 FRAME-SET which is close enough. If this is your crack please pester someone else. I am only to willing to help any genuine enquires as most will testify to but the fact is you run the risk of getting a few F's thrown into you if you muck be about. I have been far to polite and easy going in the past and it ain't going to happen again. I will try and help everyone I can on any cycling matters but the last fiasco with the Bates BAR I was trying to sell was very close to the limit. Oh I forgot this is said to be the bike featured in the large photo which used to hang in Holdsworth shop. Price including Air Shipping £140.00 please contact off list. From where the wheels don't spin as fast as they use to. Be lucky Michael Butler Huntingdon UK. PS Will throw in a very good early 50's Simplex lever to go on the boss.
