Hello Chuck, I have taken the date for your French track bike as 1952 as a guide. Cloth tape was the norm back then and Klingfast and Allez were the popular brands. Regarding rims I take it you want to use sprints and tubs (sew-ups) well the common tubular rims were D'Alessandro triple laminated Maple (wood), Weinmann Scheren's. San Giorgio or Constrictor Conloy. Please forgive the spellings. Be lucky Mick.
