Thanks to everyone who contributed to my questions on vintage shoes. I bought these shoes from the great auction site, eBay, from a gentleman in France. The shoes are almost too nice to wear, so comfortable. They will be great for the cool, crisp morning rides I do along the coast here in Sydney. Thanks to Ted Ernst for graciously parting with a set of NOS-NIP TA leather cleats, they will be landing here in OZ with my next Phil Wood shipment.

Not sure if my ride is in the timeline or not, should be close and the Shimano 600 groupset is pre-'83.
