That's the practical approach, but where is the adventure in that? I take pride in retaining the 16mm bolts, even in Zeus cranks, which also had 16mm bolts, but with a 22mm extractor thread instead of 23.15. Now those are REALLY difficult to remove.

If they are indeed the original 16mm bolts, you may want to replace them with 15mm (or even 14mm) bolts to make removal easier in the future.
