Maybe it's the use of ',' (European style) versus '.' (US style) between dollars and cents; that caught me out a few times. I started sweating profusely when I realized I had bid '74,850.00 USD' instead of '74.85 USD' as I intended. Fortunately I could retract my bid in time. I didn't like th e sweating though!
