The Unica-Nitor and very similar (in fact almost/if not identical) plastic saddles marked as Cinelli and others, in a variety of colors, trickled into the BMX market in the early 80's if not before. My son was involved in BMX about 1980, actively racing by 82, and the saddles I saw on the racing scene sure looked just like what I remembered from track bikes earlier on. I may still have red and black examples in my stash, but I'd have to dig deep in one of those saddle boxes to find them so I can post pictures.
