Subject: [CR]NR Seat post Qs: Shorty length and seat positioning

What is the length of a Campy 27MM NR "shorty" seat post from the 68-70 era? Mine seems pretty short. The polished cylindrical portion of the seat post is about 110mm or 4 inches long. Do I have a shorty?

On this same Campy NR seat post, I can't get the seat back as far as I like. I've tried sliding the seat as far back as the rails permit. There appears to be no fore or aft adjustment of the mounting point on the seat post itself. Are there NR seat posts with a longer measurement along the horizontal part of the seat post that would locate the mounting point farther back? If not, are there other posts that would accomplish what I want with 27mm diameters? Or are their bicycle seats with rails that would allow the seat to slide back farther?
