Subject: [CR]Help with frame identification

I am reposting this since I forgot to add my name and location to the bottom of the previous message. This is a genuine request for assistance, I am not a hoax userid.

I'm hoping someone on the list can indentify this frame for me. I have done some searching on the net without any success.

It has been repainted, probably more than once so the only stickers on it are for a bike shop which is now out of business.

I think it is a 1980s steel frame, very light (weighs about 5 lbs), has provision for downtube shifters, I have been told by the previous owner that the bottom bracket is English thread and that it has a 1" JIS threaded fork. The serial number is GB 900686 and is located on the underside of the downtube.

Here are some photos (I have a couple of others if needed)
